Maintenance Superintendent - Pork

Summary:
Assist in the planning, developing, implementing, controlling and supervising all plant maintenance programs to include buildings, equipment, boiler room, refrigeration and waste treatment Establish good lines of communication between mechanical and plant operations Maintain an effective preventative maintenance schedule.
Prepare annual budgets for capital and repair needs; Promote safetyDuties:
Assist in identifying, developing and implementing maintenance programs or special projects that will result in achieving or exceeding established labor goals Assist in the planning and developing of short and long range operational method plans Assist in the planning, developing and implementing of an effective preventative maintenance program in all production departments to minimize downtime and costs.
Plan, develop and implement a parts inventory control program which provides dollar value and status inventory.
Establish and clearly communicate realistic job requirements for subordinates Identify training needs (both technical and managerial) for your people Provide timely and accurate performance information on all aspects of the operations Comply with OSHA and FSIS regulations Will have night shift responsibilityTo be considered for this role:
10+ year's mechanical supervision, 5+ years in the meat industry preferred and a four year degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prefer someone with fresh pork processing maintenance supervisory experience Kill plants Strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, good problem solving skills
